John P. Baumann, Jr., Managing Partner
As a leader in the Tampa Bay business community, John takes a consultative approach with clients. He has built the company on the philosophy of partnering with clients, and working collaboratively with clients as they look to grow their business and meet the operational challenges that occur on that journey. His expert abilities in construction accounting, tax planning and business transaction negotiations are well respected throughout the industry. And so is his good nature and personal warmth, which is always on display at his successful seminars. John has been a CPA since 1979 and with Michael Raymondo, started Baumann Raymondo & Co in 1979.
Prior to venturing into the world of entrepreneurship, John experience included twelve and a half years with the IRS (including eight years of management level positions and as Associate Chief Miami Appellate). John has comprehensive knowledge of all phases of accounting and taxation and can frame a solution based on the perspective that his broad range of experience offers. John is also an active member of several professional and civic organizations, and was formerly appointed by the Governor of Florida to the State Board of Accountancy. An accounting graduate of the University of South Florida, John has been published in such important journals as Florida CPA Today, Resolving Tax Controversies with the IRS, and Tax Aspects of Divorce in Florida.
Michael C. Raymondo, Partner
Michael possesses a wealth of experience in business consulting, financial planning and representing taxpayers before the IRS. Be it state or federal tax authorities, Michael has served in person and has replied to correspondence concerning the tax returns of businesses and individuals. He provides explanations, schedules and other documentation in tax examinations. Michael received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. In 1979, he became a Florida Certified Public Accountant. He is a distinguished member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
